Four post lifts
Four post car lifts
Drive-on platforms that carry the vehicle on its wheels: the natural lift for storage, alignment work and any job where the vehicle should sit level and stable for a long time. Three models cover the work — one heavy, one storage-led, one alignment-led.

The platform lift, in three working roles
A four-post lift asks nothing of the vehicle's lifting points: you drive on, the runways take the wheels, and the whole platform rises. That makes it the forgiving lift — for storage, where a car may sit raised for weeks; for alignment, where the vehicle must sit exactly level on turntables; and for workshops that lift a wide mix of vehicles and do not want arm positioning to slow the bay down. The trade is floor space, and the runways themselves, which set a minimum vehicle track and ground clearance.
The XP-7650 is the heavy platform at 5,000 kg on a 4,800 mm platform. The XP-7640 is the 4,000 kg platform whose work is storage use. The XP-4-5019A pairs a 4,000 kg platform with a rolling jack so alignment and wheel-free work can share one bay. Work from each model's own page, and take its full specification from that page.

All three are drive-on platforms; they divide by the work that happens on and under the runways.
| Item | What it is / how it is handled |
|---|---|
| XP-7650 | The heavy platform: 5,000 kg on a 4,800 mm platform length, for vans and heavy cars. |
| XP-7640 | The storage platform: park on it, raise it, park under it — written up on the storage page. |
| XP-4-5019A | The alignment platform: rolling jack fitted, ready for turntables and alignment work. |
| Rolling jack | The secondary lift that raises one end of the vehicle 350 mm off the runways for wheel-free work. |
| Approach ramps | Set the minimum ground clearance of vehicles that can drive on; low cars need the ramp angle checked. |
Checks before a four-post quote
- Platform length against your longest vehicle, with ramp room at both ends of the bay.
- Track width of the narrowest car you lift — runways must land under its tyres.
- Ground clearance of the lowest car against the ramp angle and the platform's 200 mm minimum height.
- Whether wheel-free work needs the rolling jack now or as a later addition.
- Ceiling height with the platform raised and a vehicle on top, for storage use.
Questions buyers ask about four post lifts
Four-post or two-post for a general workshop?
Two-post for engine, gearbox and wheel work where underbody access rules; four-post for storage, alignment and fast drive-on throughput. Many shops run one of each because the work splits cleanly between them — the two-post page sets out the other side of the comparison.
Can I park a second car under a raised four-post?
That is the storage use the XP-7640 is built around: the platform locks at height and the space beneath becomes a parking slot. The pair of vehicles together still have to respect the platform's rated capacity and your ceiling height.
Does the alignment model include the aligner?
The XP-4-5019A is the lift; the aligner is a separate family in this catalogue. Quote them together so the rolling jack, turntable recesses and the aligner configuration are settled as one package.
