Truck lifts

Mobile column lifts for trucks

Four models of wheel-engaging mobile column: the XP-1650Y at 5,500 kg per column and the XP-1685Y at 8,500 kg per column, each in a mains-powered version and a battery DC24V version with a W suffix. Columns work in synchronised sets and park against the wall between jobs.

Fit check: a column set is sized from the heaviest axle group and the longest wheelbase in your fleet work — bring both, because column count and fork width follow from them.

Lift the wheels, in step

A mobile column lift engages the vehicle at its wheels: each column's forks slide under one tyre, and the set rises in synchronisation so the truck or bus stays level across its full wheelbase. Nothing is bolted down and nothing is dug in — the columns roll to the vehicle, work, and roll away. For mixed fleets that flexibility is the whole argument: the same set lifts a rigid truck today and spreads for a bus tomorrow.

The family divides by capacity and power. The XP-1650Y lifts 5,500 kg per column on mains power (220V single-phase or 380V three-phase); the XP-1650YW is the same column on DC24V battery power, free of trailing cables. The XP-1685Y and XP-1685YW repeat the pairing at 8,500 kg per column for the heaviest work. Compare all four models' figures together on this page: the choice between them is one decision.

The four models

XP-1650Y

The mains-powered column at 5,500 kg per column, for fixed bays with power at hand.

XP-1650YW

The battery version of the 5,500 kg column — the same lift, free of trailing cables.

XP-1685Y

The heavy column at 8,500 kg per column on mains power, for the heaviest fleet work.

XP-1685YW

The heavy column on battery power, for yards and flexible working.

Capacities are per column; a working set multiplies by the number of columns under the vehicle.

Working setsFour columns cover most rigid trucks; multi-axle and bus work may need six or eight in one set.

Fleet facts a column-lift quote needs

  • The heaviest vehicle and its axle loads, not just its gross weight.
  • The widest tyre the forks must engage, against the fork ranges in the table.
  • How many vehicles lift at once, and whether the set must split into two working sets.
  • Floor condition and slope where columns will stand and travel.
  • Charging and storage space for the set between jobs, for the battery versions.

Questions buyers ask about truck lifts

How many columns do I need?

Four columns lift most rigid trucks; articulated and multi-axle work may need six or eight working as one synchronised set. The count follows from your fleet list, which is why the inquiry asks for it rather than guessing.

Mains or battery columns?

Battery columns free the floor of cables and lift anywhere in the yard; mains columns never wait on a charge. High daily cycles favour mains; flexible and outdoor work favours battery. Many fleets run the battery set for exactly the cable reason.

Can mobile columns work outdoors?

They need a sound, level, hard surface. Describe the yard surface honestly in the inquiry and ask for the siting judgement in writing.

Ask for the unit matched to your work. Send the model code you are considering and the work it will do each week; ask for that model's specification sheet in return.
