In-ground scissor

In-ground scissor lifts

An in-ground scissor disappears into the floor: pit-installed, flush when lowered, and rising to full working height with a secondary jack lift for wheel-free work. The group is the XP-9345, the XP-9540X and the XPJS4021.

Fit check: an in-ground lift fits the bay that must stay a floor when it is not a lift — the pit is the commitment, so the building decision comes before the model decision.

The flush-floor bargain

The in-ground form trades civil work for a bay that reads as empty floor: drive-through traffic crosses the lowered platform, the workshop keeps its cleanest layout, and the lift is simply there when a car stops on it. Alignment work is the classic application — the platform lifts level, takes turntables, and the XP-9345's group specification includes a 450 mm jack lift for the wheel-free part of the job — but any high-throughput bay that hates obstructions makes the same argument.

The pit is the price: formed to the model's drawing, drained, with power and air run to it. That work is planned once and lived with for the machine's life, start your checks with the building. The three models share one pit philosophy and differ in capacity and platform length, tabulated below.

The three models against each other

The XP-9345 is the group's heavy unit: 4,500 kg, a 4,500 mm platform and a 1,750 mm main lift. The XP-9540X is the pulley-design model at 4,000 kg on a 4,480 mm platform, with a 1,700 mm main lift. The XPJS4021 matches the 9345's lift figures at 4,000 kg on a 4,200 mm platform and is the group's lightest machine at 1,760 kg.

Shared figures: 340 mm minimum height in the pit sense — the platform's raised-from-flush starting geometry — 450 mm jack lift, 70–90 second lifting time, 0.6–0.8 Mpa air, 24 Mpa oil pressure and a 3.0 kW motor on either supply. Choosing between them is capacity first, platform length second, and the pit drawing third — in that order, with your longest and heaviest vehicles named.

In-ground scissor specification

The in-ground group's parameters are in the table below.

XPJS40214,0001,7504504,200 × 6003.01,760

Shared across the three in-ground models: a 340 mm starting height, a 70–90 second rise, lock air at 0.6–0.8 Mpa, hydraulics rated at 24 Mpa, and a 3.0 kW motor on 380V three-phase or 220V single-phase supply.

Checks before an in-ground quote

  • The pit: who builds it, to whose drawing, with what drainage and service runs.
  • Longest wheelbase against the platform lengths, turntable positions included.
  • Heaviest vehicle against the 4,000–4,500 kg capacities.
  • Whether the bay's traffic truly needs flush drive-through, to justify the civil work.
  • Aligner pairing, if alignment is the application — quoted as one package.

Questions buyers ask about in ground scissor lift

What does the pit need besides a hole?

The model's drawing dimensions, drainage that keeps the pit dry, power and air runs, and a floor build-up that finishes flush with the platform. The drawing request is the first document of the purchase.

Can an in-ground lift be retrofitted?

Yes, in a bay whose floor can be cut and whose traffic can pause for the works. The honest comparison is against a surface full-rise scissor, which avoids the pit entirely at the cost of a raised platform in the bay.

Why is the minimum height 340 mm on a flush lift?

The figure describes the platform mechanism's geometry from its pit base, not a step the car climbs: lowered, the platform sits flush. Installation documents make the geometry plain — another reason the drawing comes first.
