Why motorcycle wheels want their own changer
Bike wheels break car-changer assumptions at both ends of the job. The rims start smaller — this machine's clamping reaches down to 8 inches — and the wheels carry brake discs, sprockets and cush drives that a car turntable's clamping was never shaped around. Bead work is lighter but the rim finishes are softer targets for damage, and a bike customer notices a marked rim the way a car customer notices a marked door.
A dedicated machine answers with the right clamping range and a working plate sized for bike wheels. For a motorcycle workshop it is the primary changer; for a car workshop with a real bike sideline it ends the adapter compromises. Its four figures are tabulated below.
Confirming the rest of the specification
The XP-313MT's specification is four parameters — the table below. Machine weight, motor and dimensions are order-stage confirmations: ask for them in writing through the inquiry, alongside delivery configuration, before comparing it against any fully tabulated alternative.
The four figures are the four that decide fitment — clamping range, wheel diameter, tyre width and air pressure. Ask for the logistics detail in writing too, before you compare delivered prices.
Fitment is a workshop-book question before it is a machine question. List the bikes you actually service — the largest rim in the book, the widest rear tyre, how many changes a week are motorcycle work at all — and hold the four figures against that list. A changer bought for the book's extremes spends most of its life loafing; one bought for its middle gets fought by its extremes. The XP-313MT's published envelope is the middle-to-upper answer for ordinary motorcycle work.

- Disc and sprocket clearance practice for your wheel mix, discussed at quote stage.

- Whether a bike-wheel balancing answer joins the purchase.
Questions buyers ask about xp-313mt motorcycle tire changer
Can it change small car wheels too?
Its clamping overlaps the small-car range, and occasional small wheels are plausible work for it; a car parc's daily changing belongs on the car families, whose turntables and bead systems are built for that volume.
How do I buy a model with a four-figure table?
Four figures in the table below, and the rest to close as written confirmations — ask for them with your quotation, and never borrow figures from another model.
Does it handle tubeless and tubed bike tyres?
Motorcycle work spans both; state your mix in the inquiry and have the tooling configuration for it confirmed for this model before ordering.
Send an inquiry
Ask for the unit matched to your work. Send the model code you are considering and the work it will do each week; ask for that model's specification sheet in return.
